Key Stage 1
Keep using the BBC Bitesize daily lessons in a range of subjects. Then on the BBC Bitesize website go to the 'English' section and look for the Spelling part, complete the activities on 'compound words' and 'silent letters'. Then go to the Punctuation part and complete the activities on 'exclamation marks' and 'question marks'.
On the BBC Bitesize site go to the Maths section and complete the activities on 'Fractions', 'how to count with 10s and 1s' and 'Multiplying and Dividing'. Also please keep practising your 2x and 5x tables.
Keep using the BBC Bitesize daily lessons in a range of subjects. Then on the BBC Bitesize website go to the 'English' section- Spelling and try out the activities focusing on 'spelling patterns'. Also try the 'Punctuation' section looking at 'apostrophes', 'possessive apostrophes', 'commas', 'bullet points', 'paragraphs' and 'inverted commas'. Year 5 and 6 can also try the sections on 'semi colons', 'hyphens', 'dashes', 'ellipsis' and 'brackets'.
Have a look at the 'non fiction' section on 'features of a newspaper' and then have a go at writing your own newspaper report on 'a vicious dog runs loose in Asda.'
Go to the Maths section on BBC Bitesize 'Calculations' and read through the parts on 'multiplying and dividing' 'how to multiply in your head' 'division with remainders' and 'written methods for short division.' Then write out some of your own examples to try. Year 5 and 6 also please can you complete the activities on 'Algebra.'

Watch the class clips on BBCbitesize English 'non fiction' Instruction writing. Then write your own set of instructions eg, gardening, planting seeds or something you have made etc.
Complete a book review on a book you have read using the headings:
Title and author
What happened at the beginning, middle and end of the story?
What was your favourite part?
What was your least favourite part?
How did the story make you feel?
What did you learn?
Would you recommend it to a friend?
Also please keep learning the spellings from the lists we gave to you and try putting the words into sentences.
Watch the class clips on BBCBitesize 'fractions'- How to add and subtract fractions, how to multiply fractions, Unit and mixed fractions.
Year 4,5,6 Also- How to simplify fractions and Match of the day football fractions.
Year 5 and 6 Watch the class clips on Percentages- What is a percentage? How to calculate percentages, Match of the day pitch percentages.
When you have watched the clips try the activities and then write some out of your own to practise.
All Juniors remember to keep learning your times tables.

Continue with practising number bonds and addition and subtraction calculations. Year 2 can practise their 2x 5x and 10x times tables.

You will find information on the BBCBitesize website including features to include within each story genre. Also remember Juniors to plan your story first like we do in class- using character and setting descriptions, problems and resolutions. Don't forget punctuation, joined handwriting, interesting vocabulary and paragraphs.
Keep learning your timestables and practising the different styles of calculation that we gave you- written addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Please continue with your SATs booklets. Even though you won't be sitting SATs this year these booklets contain everything you need to know for Year 7.
