science long term planning, 2017-2020.docx   Key Stage 2 Science topics 2017.doc

EYFS/Key Stage 1

Our topic for the Summer Term is 'Where in the world.' We will explore and compare the differences between things that are living, dead and things that have never been alive. We will identify that most living things live in habitats to which they are suited and describe how different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants and how they depend on each other. We will describe how animals obtain their food from plants and other animals. We will also observe changes across the seasons.

Key Stage 2

Our topic for the Summer Term is the classification of living things, environments, habitats and the reproduction of plants and animals. We will discuss the changes in humans from birth to old age and discuss diet, exercise, drugs and lifestyles. We will also learn about food chains and food webs.
